ACTIVITIES
Icaraizinho or Icarai de Amontada as it is also known and its surroundings have much to offer the weekend traveller or the long term guest! The tranquility of the wide open beach, where you can find yourself alone in the early mornings while enjoying the view of a peaceful empty ocean is a luxury not found in many places of the world today. A gem of Ceará, it has consistently good weather all year round. The trade wind which blows from July till January is a dream for windsurfers and kitesurfers alike, ensuring you’ll be on the water everyday. The local buggy drivers offer exciting trips around the area. From yoga, to horse-riding, sunset trips through the dunes and SUP tours through the mangrove, Icaraizinho will leave you charmed!

Casa Zulu offers private kite lessons to our guests only, in either French, English or Portuguese.

KITING
Kite surfing had exploded all over the world and the North East of Brazil is no exception with it’s perfect conditions. Whether you’re a seasoned kiter or just beginning, Icaraizinho will fulfil your kiting needs. Advanced kiters can enjoy the local spots or part take in various downwind trips and day trips to nearby lagoons. We offer kite lessons for beginners of all ages in either English, French or Portuguese. Edouard is an IKO Level 2 qualified instructor with many hours of experience to guide you into the exhilarating and liberating world of kite surfing!
WINDSURFING
Icaraizinho offers perfect conditions from July until January. No matter if you're a beginner or advanced the consistent wind and option of flat water or bump and jump spots will ensure that you're in the water every day of your stay. Whether you need help with your water start, jibes, stance or general advice to improve your windsurfing or you’re looking for advanced tips to perfect your front loop, push loop or finally land that Goya, Edouard offers excellent advice and guidance to help you get to that level you desire! Lessons are given in French, English or Portuguese. Either use your own equipment or rent from 1 of the 2 equipment rental centres in Icaraizinho.
YOGA
For a complete connection of the body, mind, and soul or for those who need to stretch out before a few hours on the water, we highly recommend the studio at La Vila Caribou. A mix of Hatha and Vinyasa flow on the deck with breathtaking views over the coconut trees, a qualified French Canadian instructor will take you on a yoga journey, perfectly harmonious with it's environment. The practice of yoga makes the body strong and flexible, it also improves the functioning of the respiratory, digestive and hormonal systems. Yoga brings about emotional stability and clarity of mind.

Other than your hammock and the beach, Icaraizinho offers some other activities. Explore the Lençóis Cearense by buggy or a stunning sunset trip through the white sand dunes ending the trip at Ilha das Ostras, a baraca on the river with a traditional caipirinha and fresh river oysters! Quad bike tours/rentals are available as well as SUP trips down the Rio Aracatiaçú through the mangroves.
